8 BEAUTY MUST-HAVES
From haircare to glitter, here are my current 8 beauty favourites worth getting your hands on...
1. MAC GEL LINER
By far my most used product for the last 2 months now has to be
in 'Rich Ground'. This creamy long-wear liner gives off a more subtle/soft finish and creates a similar finish to Kylie Jenner’s notorious brown liner look. To apply, I’ve been using
that makes it even easier to create an instantly sharp wing.
2. Too Faced Eyeshadow Palette
My typical eye shadow choice to pair with the MAC liner has been 3 shades from the highly demanded
that recently came back in stock. Sweeping ‘Luscious’ across the lid, followed by a mix of ‘Cobbler’ and ‘Caramelized’ in the crease creates a soft-bronzed smoky eye that couples up beautifully with the liner. And lets not forget to mention the fact that it really does smell of peaches..!!
3. Glitter, glitter and more glitter
If you haven’t heard about The Gypsy Shrine, then you really must have been hibernating over winter because this upcoming brand has taken Instagram by storm. Selling a variety of jewels, glitter chunks, chokers and headbands, The Gypsy Shrine is like unicorn heaven. To be used on the face, body or hair their glitter products come in every magical colour you ever dreamed of. Just a pre-warning, if you find yourself on their
you could still be there hours later as their artistic creations and inspiration are mesmerising and addictive to look at. The glitter set that I've been using is the '
' collection which includes 4 pots of chunky glitter made up of blue, white, silver, iridescent colours to add some sparkle.
4. The Body Shop Eye Cream
Now that it's back to work and the alarm clock has been turned on once more, my tired eyes are reappearing so to help them out I've found myself reaching most for
The Body Shop's Oils of Life Eye Cream Gel.
Reducing my dark circles and puffiness after a long day of staring at a screen at work, this gel formula brings some life back to your eyes even after just a few uses.
5. Tata Harper Moisturiser
Another product I've been loving that brings my face back to life is the
Tata Harper Illuminating Moisturiser
. If, like me, you've never put diamond dust on your face (because why else would you have before right?) well now's your opportunity. This instantly illuminating moisturiser contains real diamond dust to give off a soft highlighting effect on the skin. Despite seeming pricey at first glance, a little goes a long way and what's more, it can be used in a variety of ways; simply all over the face, under foundation or as a highlighter.
6. HealGel Advanced Skin Rescue Formula
For those days where your skin has a
'moment'
, HealGel* have got you covered. Their
multi-active formula helps to Soothe, Repair and Protect; reducing irritation, redness, puffiness, improving skin regeneration and increasing cellular longevity there's not much this little pot of joy can't do. Want to know the best part? It can even be used as a makeup primer...win-win wouldn't you say?!
7. Lip saviours
When it came to choosing my favourite lip products, I was torn between two; Chanel's
and Dr Lipp's
(yes.. you read that correctly). If you're lips are simply need of a splash of instant moisture, Chanel's balm is the one you need. Alternatively, if your lips are severely suffering in the cold weather, Dr Lipp is the absolute go-to choice. With a thick consistency Dr Lipp's Original Nipple Balm is the definition of a multi-purpose product; whether it's for your chapped lips, dry skin, split ends or to give you some cheek shine (and that's just a few) you won't be able to live without this balm once you've got your hands on it.
8. Hair care
Cloud Nine's
* puts those pesky flyways in their place and saves your locks from those evil heated appliances that you just can't go without. Whilst reducing drying time by around half (an absolute bonus for people like me with long, thick hair) the spray also strengthens and nourishes weak/damaged hair with a weightless leave-in conditioner. Oh and it also smells divine so what more could you want for your hair!
