OOTD: Mother's Day
Helloooo ! Both Joksie and I have been so busy with school and uni that we have been unable to take time out and blog like normal, so we are sorry for our absence. However we're back and for the first post of 2016 I thought I would share my OOTD.
As today is Mother's Day, my family decided to go for brunch at the German Gymnasium, a new favourite destination of mine. I chose to wear my Unreal Fur Dream Jacket which I picked up in the January sales. This grey ombre jacket is definitely a statement piece that offers sophistication to any outfit. I decided to pair the jacket with a grey bodysuit from Topshop and their black Joni jeans.
For makeup I wanted to go for a natural look in order to avoid taking the attention away from the jacket. I used neutral shadows on the eye, with a thin winged eyeliner.
On my lips I wore a combination of my current natural-tone favourites; Charlotte Tilbury's "Lip Magic" balm, "Nude Kate" from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick collection and "Ibiza Nights" from the Lip Lustre collection. The lip magic balm works to create baby-soft lips where lines are reduced, while dryness and chapping are soothed. The lipstick glides along the lip smoothly and is extremely long-lasting. Finally the lip gloss works to create the illusion of fuller lips; "Ibiza Nights" is perfect when layered on top of "Nude Kate" as it offers an extra shine to the lips, making them further stand out.
With this outfit I chose the wear my Nike Air Max trainers in "Pure Platinum White". These shoes are light weighted and perfect for a long day of walking. The colour differentiates from most trainers, allowing them to subtly add an extra something to an outfit.
For perfume I decided on my new favourite scent; Chanel's Chance Eau Fraîche. The scent of this perfume is described as "a floral-sparkling fragrance that intertwines the zesty freshness of Citron, the softness of Jasmine and the vibrant presence of Teak Wood" and I couldn't have put it better. This is a fresh, long-lasting scent that anticipates the beginning of spring.
For the extra detail, the sunglasses I paired with this outfit are these "Lakota 60s round sunglasses" from Topshop. With ombre lenses and a tortoise shell, the glasses nicely compliment the ombre jacket and work to bring the outfit together.
Finally the bag for this outfit continues the "grey" trend. This particular bag is a few years old, however I have included a similar alternative. Just like with the shoes, this bag brings out the grey tones in the jacket, as well as enhancing the colour in the other accessories. The bag further provides elegance and class to the outfit as a whole.
Thank you for reading,
Love Luisa xo
